Spring is in the Air
Something about spring brings so much warmth and joy into life. I love watching all of the beautiful flowers bloom, butterflies emerge and overall life becoming colourful again. For anyone who knows me, they know that colour is my all time love— it is very rare to see me in a neutral light. So considering that, what better way is there for me to celebrate my love for colour than by shooting beautiful people with nature’s beautiful colours.
When I first started getting into photography, I did a shoot with my friend in High Park when the cherry blossoms were in bloom. Thank you Sam for being a beautiful model, you helped start off my photography career and I will forever be grateful. (Please see a photo from that shoot below).
Cherry blossoms can be found in multiple areas across the GTA, no matter if you are in Hamilton or all the way east to Scarborough:
High Park, Cedarvale Park, John Probarts Library, Trinity Bellwoods, The Islands, Centennial Park, UofT Scarborough
Kariya Park, Joyce Archdekin Park, Gairloch Gardens
Royal Botanical Gardens, Spencer Smith Park, Bayfront Park
High Park is one of the most famous spots here in Toronto, making it one of the busiest and hardest to shoot at. Luckily, there are multiple other places to shoot, and I will be sure to visit them all this year. I simply CANNOT wait to capture this natures wonder. Spring time is coming and so is your opportunity to book a beautiful cherry blossom shoot!
Do note: There is a short window to shoot with cherry blossoms in full bloom (end of April/beginning of May)
