Valentines Day
Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day. Whether you celebrated with a partner, or on your own, I hope you experienced love to its fullest on Monday.
Let me tell you this.. I think Valentine’s Day is silly. Why? Because you deserve maximum love EVERY day. Why show love to yourself or your partner just one day of the year? Get yourself a box of chocolates because it is Tuesday and your body gets you through every single day. Surprise your partner with a bouquet of flowers just because you appreciate them being by your side supporting you every single day. Show that love— Every. Single. Day.
This year was one of the first years I have spent Valentine’s Day without a partner in 11 years. And to be honest, I enjoyed it. This year for me is for self-love. How did it take me 26 years to figure out what self love is and realize I need to put myself first? Well, in those 26 years I went through a couple of unwavering encounters. The pain was almost unbearable, but I don’t regret anything. Those break-ups taught me so much about myself and about other people. I had to go through heartbreak and pain to finally discover what self-love really is.
Now I am focussed on my self-healing and self-growth— I am learning from my mistakes and my traumas to be a better version of myself to have a healthy future. My business has never been flourishing as much as it is now, my emotions have never been so regulated, and my ability to put myself first has never been so strong.
It is crazy what a little love towards yourself really can do.
(P.S And if no one has told you today, you are beautiful and you are loved.)
