Forecast: Bridal Shower!

On May 7th I got to shoot my first bridal shower event! I ran a mixed giveaway with my friend Becca quite a while back, and the winner chose to gift her shoot to her friend (the bride). I said I was in and that we would get the beautiful day covered!

I have only done a few events in my time as a photographer: a couple of birthdays and a few intimate weddings. So I was excited to cover my first bridal shower.

Between having snacks, playing games, guest appearances and munching on desserts, the whole day was so beautiful. I made sure to capture some images of all the various activities that occurred, but also get those classic shots with the bride-to-be.

If you don’t know already, it can be very hard to capture large groups of people. This is because you need to make sure everyone in the photo is looking directly at your camera lens, PLUS make sure their eyes are open and they look nice. Although the lady who gifted her friend this shoot believed she looked a little silly in the group photo, I think she looked beautiful and the group was captured perfectly. Groups of friends are generally a silly bunch who laugh together, so I just caught her in her natural state, right? 😜

All in all, the shoot was a success and I appreciate the experience I received. I will be posting some of the images in my story over the next while. I hope you all enjoy 😊
