Baby P on Board

This past weekend I shot my first maternity style session. Although I didn’t capture intimate photos of mommy and her baby belly, I got some good images of the couples expressing their love for each other and their child. You could tell it was my first time as I was using Pinterest for classic pose ideas— but hey! we all have to start somewhere right?

I did this shoot for a couple of my close friends I met while I was going to school in Ottawa. I don’t think I have ever met a happier couple in my life— the love they have for each other is contagious. As I was the one who I took their wedding photos, of course I wanted to take photos of the baby belly and glowing mommy as well. And it is highly likely I will take a couple of snaps of the newborn when they arrive! 😬

We decided to do the shoot at York University where the couple lives. Since the weather is wild and the flowers haven’t bloomed yet, we were pretty limited to beautiful outdoor nature scenery. But @brit_palmateer was adamant about a willow tree near a pond that was on campus, so we surely captured some shots by it! From one side of the campus to the other, we found the nature spots we could and captured beautiful images. Lets just say, the photos taken by the willow tree and pond were my favourites!

All I have left to say is, we can’t wait to meet you Baby P! 👶

P.S. Make sure to check in on my IG page in the coming week to see the final results of the shoot!
